Originally slated for demolition as part of a larger plan to expand the neighborhood McDonald’s restaurant, 1671 Union Street was purchased by the Lecce Group in 2020 and brought back to its roots as a unique retail destination within the Upper Union Street Business Improvement District.
With an extensive exterior and interior overhaul in progress, 1671 Union Street will feature multiple, individual shops, an inviting alley way and ample parking. The renovated building will include a new connection between Upper Union Street and The City Squire restaurant.
The first tenants opened their doors at 1671 Union in November of 2020. Originally located in the Village of Scotia, b.inspired, a home furnishing lifestyle store owned and operated by Anne Brenner joyfully found a new, larger home within 1671 Union Street. The shop features home, decor and lifestyle items as well as a Storied Coffee bar with cafe seating.
