The construction of this $8.5 million building was part of a larger revitalization effort along upper Union Street by the Lecce Group. The scope of the entire project included 1.72 acres on Union Street between St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church and Troy Place in the Town of Niskayuna.
In 2015, Lecce Group acquired and cleared six single family homes, a 10,500 square foot 3-story office building, and a 2,500 square foot dental office, which Lecce Group reconstructed at 1759 Union Street (the corner of Union and Troy Place).
Over a period of eight months, Lecce Group built the new 37,821 square foot multi-speciality, ambulatory, and EmUrgentCare facility for Albany Medical Center on their previous footprint. In October 2018, Lecce Group sold the property to Elliot Bay Healthcare Realty III LLC of Seattle, Washington with Albany Med remaining as a long-term tenant.
